Storm Boelo update

A number of weather-related issues have been reported to Scottish Borders Council through the morning, mainly fallen trees. Due to the ongoing wind speeds, it may be some time until these can be cleared safely.

Two power cuts are currently logged on the SPEN website, with small outages reported in the Ancrum and St Mary’s Loch areas. If you experience a power cut please report this by calling 105.

The latest weather information continues to indicate that we will experience the strongest winds of Storm Boelo through today. We expect a further update from the Met Office later this morning. No flooding issues are currently anticipated.
